Cliffhanger Community Store
A new Oak Cliff thrift store with a logo made for signs, stickers and screens, and a website that actually shows up when people search for it.
The challenge
Cliffhanger Community Store opened at East Dock in Oak Cliff as a thrift store with a mission: a share of sales from donated goods goes to a local cause each month. A store like that needs a name people remember and a look to match, so the logo came first.
The website came next, with one job above the rest: when someone in Dallas searches for a thrift store in Oak Cliff, the store should be right there, with the hours, the address, what to bring as a donation and this month’s cause a tap away.
What we built
Two pieces, built to match: a logo the store can put on anything that carries its name, and a website built to be found when people search for a thrift store in Oak Cliff.
The logo
The store’s name is a play on Oak Cliff and a coat hanger, so the mark is a hanger carrying the store’s own name, drawn loose and friendly to match the feel of the store.
The website
The website carries the store’s hours, its East Dock address, what to bring as a donation, and the local nonprofit the store is supporting that month. It is written and set up to be found, so a search for a thrift store in Oak Cliff turns up the store’s own page next to its Google Business listing.
What changed
Now the store is easy to find. Search for a thrift store in Oak Cliff and Cliffhanger sits near the top of the results, alongside shops that have been in the neighborhood for decades, and its Google Business listing puts the hours and directions right there in the results. Shoppers have walked in saying an AI assistant pointed them to the store. And the mark reads the same on the door, on the site, and on a sticker at the register.
We designed the logo and built the website.

The logo
One mark, three surfaces
The same mark, sized for wherever it needs to travel: a sign, the site’s own chrome, and a sticker at the register.
